Sr Data Analyst - ChicagoThe Data Analyst role will be responsible for administering the integrity, accuracy and consistency of security reference and pricing data. This position will work closely with business and technology partners across the company to help define, manage and access security governance, including testing new systems and enhancements to preserve data integrity. Sitting within the Security Data Management team, the group is responsible for managing databases and systems related to enterprise security reference data and security life cycle events such as corporate actions, proxy voting, pricing, and market data management.

We're seeking intelligent, and diligent professionals who in turn seek a professional working environment that offers strong benefits, reliable work-life balance, and excellent internal mobility, project visibility and professional development.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide critical path production support for the firm's reference data products and security master data to various stakeholders across the firmContinual documentation of data infrastructure to facilitate firm-wide user access and discoveryAssist on developing an intelligent adjudication of data discrepancies, including exception management and vendor discrepancy research across multiple platformsProvide daily oversight of security valuation, FX, and pricing discrepancies, including coordination of fair value events, and ensuring accuracy of the firm's established policies and industry regulationsFirm subject matter expert on corporate actions and proxy voting including a thorough understanding of the firm's proxy voting guidelines, and complex market eventsManage the organization and support of market data service activities, including contract renewals, invoicing, audits, and vendor business owner oversightAssist with the development and implementation of procedures and training materials for the teamCollaborate with technology, operations, and research teams on key firm-wide initiatives, including defining project requirements, executing test scripts, and providing business owner approvalsInvestigate and promote new ideas, infrastructure, and data sources to facilitate business growth and process improvement, while reducing data operation riskRequirements:3 years experience in Analytical, Consulting, or Auditing environmentExperience in project management – strong cross departmental communicationTechnology aptitude or exposure – experience interacting with technical teamsDetail oriented, Highly organized, Strong problem-solving skillsPreferredSound understanding of security characteristics for the following asset classes: equities, OTC derivatives, and various fixed income instruments such as bonds and securitized productsExperience with security reference data management systems (i.e. Eagle RDC)Experience with vendor management or market data analysisHealthy curiosity about the industry and trends in data managementExperience with querying database using SQL
