Job TitleKey Responsibilities:Perform month end close activities for Cost Accounting and other areas of the GLPrepare actual vs. plan (budget) analysis. Prepare various financial analysis related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and expense information for various customers as needed for decision making supportAnalyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
Analyze actual production costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costsDevelop and maintain standard costs of finished goods and production components in a worldwide ERP systemEnsure validity and accuracy of ERP through analysis, internal audit, and coordination with inventory control, production and work order processingLead and manage the excess and obsolete inventory review processAssist in developing and documenting policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controlsMaintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuationPrepare or review reconciliations of General Ledger accounts and investigate any unreconciled differencesPrepare or review journal entries including proper General Ledger account, department, division, and project cost codingAssists various other departments with accounting related issues (e.g. G/L coding questions)Prepare or review monthly amortization schedulesReview fixed assets information/depreciation for the booksPrepares various accounting reports for divisions and upper managementAssists with ad hoc financial analysis, systems upgrade, process improvements, etc.High level of technical competence with US General Accepted Accounting PrinciplesDraft financial statement footnotesPerform accounting research and draft accounting memorandaRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics or BusinessCPA plus. Public accounting firm experience a plusMinimum of 5 years' experience in AccountingA solid understanding of Finance and Accounting theories, practices, and terminologiesHand on ERP experience, NetSuite systems preferredMust have strong computer skills and the ability to learn in a fast-paced, high volume transaction environmentMust be able to create and/or maintain Excel spreadsheets using formulasMust be able to work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlinesMust demonstrate the ability to maintain a high level of confidentialityStrong analytical, problem-solving skills and results oriented.
