Approximately 50% travel (95% local, home most nights)
We're partnering with a growing industrial automation company seeking a senior-level Control Systems Engineer who wants more than just a desk job.
This role offers the opportunity to lead automation projects from concept through commissioning while working directly with customers to solve complex manufacturing challenges. You'll be part of a small, highly collaborative engineering team where your technical expertise, leadership, and client relationship skills will have a direct impact on the business.
What you'll be doing:
• Designing and implementing complete control systems for industrial automation projects
• PLC programming, integration, troubleshooting, and commissioning
• Developing electrical schematics and control panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical
• Leading projects from requirements gathering through startup and validation
• Serving as a trusted technical advisor to customers
• Mentoring junior engineers and sharing technical expertise
• Supporting business growth through client development and relationship building
What we're looking for:
✓ 10+ years of controls engineering experience
✓ Strong PLC programming experience
✓ Experience with industrial automation systems and machine controls
✓ AutoCAD Electrical experience
✓ Ability to work directly with customers and translate technical concepts into practical solutions
✓ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
✓ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
