Sr. Contract SpecialistReconCraft is seeking an experienced Senior Contract Specialist to support Department of Defense, U.S. Navy, USSOCOM, and commercial acquisition programs at our Clackamas, Oregon location.
Reporting to the Director of Contracts, this position is responsible for administering complex government and commercial contracts, negotiating agreements, supporting acquisition planning, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing contractual guidance to program managers and company leadership throughout the contract lifecycle.Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):Draft, review, negotiate, and administer government prime contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, consulting agreements, and commercial contracts.Interpret and ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, NMCARS, DoD 5000 directives, and corporate policies.Manage contract administration activities throughout the contract lifecycle.Monitor contract performance and ensure contractual deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.Develop acquisition documentation, including Acquisition Plans, Acquisition Strategies, Procurement Requests, and Performance Work Statements.Review solicitations, Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and proposal packages for contractual compliance.Support proposal development, pricing reviews, and contract negotiations.Manage Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), reporting requirements, and contract documentation.Maintain contract records within Deltek Costpoint and SharePoint systems.Support Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, audits, data calls, and compliance reviews.Provide contractual guidance to program management, accounting, business development, and executive leadership.Perform additional duties as assigned.Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:Clearance RequirementsAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance, if requiredEducation and CertificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent experience)Required Experience and SkillsMinimum 7–10 years of Government contracts administration experienceExperience supporting DoD acquisition and contracting programsExperience drafting and negotiating:Government ContractsSubcontractsTeaming AgreementsCommercial AgreementsStrong knowledge of:FARDFARSDoD 5000 Acquisition FrameworkService Contract Act (SCA)Davis-Bacon Act (DBA)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office SuitePreferred QualificationsDAWIA Contracting Certification or equivalentExperience with Deltek CostpointExperience supporting Navy, USSOCOM, or maritime acquisition programsExperience conducting contract compliance reviews and auditsCompetence & AbilitiesStrong negotiation and contract administration skillsThorough understanding of Federal acquisition regulationsAbility to manage multiple complex contracts simultaneouslyExcellent analytical and organizational skillsAbility to communicate effectively with senior Government officialsHigh attention to detail and confidentialityWorking ConditionsPrimarily office environmentAbility to sit for extended periodsOccasional lifting of office materials up to 20 poundsLimited travel may be requiredAbout Copper River & The Native Village of Eyak:Owned by the Native Village of Eyak (NVE), a federally recognized Alaska Native Tribe, the Copper River Family of Companies are a collection of entities that deliver a complementary set of solutions and services to support the diverse missions and requirements of our clients.
