Your extensive knowledge and experience in router operations will be invaluable in guiding and supporting the professional development of your colleagues.
Joby Aviation is dedicated to training and developing individuals with potential, and we are looking for apprentices who are eager to learn and grow within our company.Shift Schedules below:1st shift - Monday – Thursday: 7AM- 5:30PM2nd shift- Monday - Thursday: 5:30PM - 4:00AM3rd shift -Friday - Sunday: 6AM - 6:30PMResponsibilities:Set up and operate 5 axis CNC Routers to cut large-scale, complex composite aircraft parts ranging from 4in to 40ft in size.Provide feedback upstream on setup, machining strategy, order of operations, tool selection, speed/feed parameters, etc.Provide feedback on how to maintain and improve part qualityAssist team with developing best practices for the machining process focused on increased efficiency and productivityOrganize and manage multiple responsibilities with a high degree of efficiencyEstablish and continuously improve a well organized and safe environment for all workspacesDo a variety of supporting tasks that are needed to get the job doneRequired:HS Diploma or GED Equivalent3+ years of machining experience or relevant coursework and demonstrated abilities to develop process, train team members, and high-level problem-solving skills.Experience with cutting tools for mills: flat, ball, & multi-fluted, end mills, drills.3+ yrs experience in a shop environment, preferably wood, plastic, & or metal machiningExperience with hand tools, ie. Drills, reamers, tap/die, files, precision pins, etcAbility to handle complex assignments and work independently with a high level of initiative to resolve issues.Experience working in fast-paced, time sensitive environmentsDemonstrated abilities following standardized work instructions, technical requirements, and executing standard processes.Able to use computers at an intermediate levelLifting of 50 lbs. or less aided or unaided throughout the day.Must wear PPE when required.Have no known allergies to epoxies or other composites materials and able to become certified to wear a respirator.Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods.Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spacesThe target base pay for this position is $37-$48/hr.
