Multi-Billion-Dollar Manufacturing Company located on the SE side of Greenville South Carolina is looking for a Sr Buyer.
JOB DUTIES
- Lead the purchasing, supplier management, and cost control activities to meet operational and customer requirements.
- Work with suppliers and commodities and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure material availability, quality standards, and cost objectives are achieved.
- Effectively identify, resolve, and escalation complex issues to maintain continuity and efficiency across the supply chain.
- Maintain and administer schedule agreements and supplier contracts under manager guidance.
- Monitor supplier performance and participate in corrective action and improvement efforts.
- Support cost management initiatives, including price maintenance and cost‑reduction activities.
Education and Experience
- 5+ yearsof purchasing, supply chain, or procurement experience required.
- Experience working in a plant manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of purchasing, supplier management, and supply chain fundamentals.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts preferred.
