Sr. Backend Automation EngineerResponsibilities:Develop and maintain automated tests for desktop applications, APIs, scripts, and databases.Identify manual testing processes that can be automated to save time and effort.Support and enhance in-house automation frameworks and test suites.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including SMEs, architects, cybersecurity, and infrastructure experts.Establish standards to ensure the quality, scalability, and maintainability of test automation tools.Troubleshoot and resolve issues by collaborating with different teams.Requirements:7+ years of experience designing and maintaining test automation solutions across multiple platforms.Strong expertise in automating tests for desktop applications, APIs, and both packaged and custom applications.Proficiency in at least one programming language and SQL, with experience working with relational databases.Deep understanding of API architecture, including functional and non-functional testing for SOAP and REST APIs.Solid knowledge of test automation strategies and framework development.Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technical concepts to various stakeholders.Preferred Skills:Experience with Tosca for test automation.Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline integration in large-scale environments.Background in the utility industry or similar sectors.
