Together, we're shaping the future of healthcare.Job SummaryThe Senior Automation Engineer has full responsibility for managing automation projects, including the design, development, and implementation of automated systems within our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for developing automated systems to sustainably improve the efficiency of the production processes, and instrumental in reaching the company's productivity goals.The Senior Automation Engineer will be a part of the Franklin Engineering Group and report to the Engineering Director. You will collaborate and exchange with other Automation teams in the SFS group.
The position also includes travel within the American sites and to Europe for training and project purposes.This position is ideal for an ambitious individual who independently pursues opportunities for growth and thrives in a fast-paced environment, while developing a growing team.Role and ResponsibilitiesCreate detailed technical documentation of automated systemsTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues with automated systemsResearch and evaluate new technologies to identify and implement process improvementsMonitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvementWork with other departments to identify and address challenges in the production processDevelop and execute equipment qualifications such as IQ, OQ, and SQTrain and mentor other automation engineersAssist in the training of other engineers and production staff on the use of automated systemsQualificationsKnowledge of automated systems, tools, and technologies.Experience with SolidWorks, PLC programming languages, and software development.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Education RequirementsBachelor's degree in engineering or related field with at least 5-10 years of experience in automation engineering is required.Physical RequirementsFrequent performing repetitive work.Occasional lifting (max. 40 lbs.)Occasional carrying (max.
