The Senior Associate will execute molecular biology and display workflows, including library construction, bacterial and yeast culture, sample preparation, display selections, and FACS/flow cytometry characterization, handoff to sequencing.
The role will independently execute assigned experiments within established workflows, troubleshoot technical issues, document and communicate results.Priority 1 – Molecular Biology ExperienceCandidates should have practical hands-on experience with basic molecular biology laboratory techniques, including:PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction)DNA ligationTransformationGeneral molecular biology experiments and laboratory workflowsPriority 2 – Cell / Tissue Culture ExperienceRelevant experience includes:Hands-on cell culture and/or tissue cultureRoutine laboratory procedures associated with cell culturePractical experience working in a laboratory environmentThe manager indicated that candidates may bring experience in molecular biology and/or cell/tissue culture. Candidates demonstrating both skill sets are especially attractive.Priority 3 – Hands-On Bench Laboratory ExperienceApproximately 1-2 years of practical laboratory experience preferredMust have actual hands-on laboratory exposureAcademic, university research, and industry laboratory experience are all acceptableIndustry experience is NOT requiredCandidates must be comfortable performing bench-level scientific experiments
