We are looking for a technically-sound individual interested in working with mission system solutions that have direct impact to national security programs.

The Technical Support Engineering Associate is an entry-level professional with primarily theoretical knowledge, working under general direction and guidance within standard processes for non-routine tasks.Essential Functions:Interfaces with external IT consultants and contractors relative to troubleshooting technically complex processes and projectsReceives multi-tier support calls and enters trouble tickets into databaseProvides remote support for off-site customersAttends program team meetings to form an understanding of SIL (Software Integration Lab) needsEngineers SIL solutions based on Software requirementsFabricates any and all wiring required to install hardware componentsChecks the event logs for servers, firewalls and alertsProvides complex PC hardware/software setup, support and repairInstalls desktop OS and application patchesAdvanced LAN troubleshooting, and infrastructure support (wiring, soldering, troubleshooting and connectivity)Analyzes customer organizational needs and contributes to the resolution of a wide range of computer problemsParticipates as a multidisciplinary production team memberDesigns, implements, maintains, and improves electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial purposesPerforms all job functions with a positive, professional attitudeQualifications:Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.2 years of prior related experience in schematic diagrams, mechanical assembly drawings, electrical and electronic test equipment, AC and DC theory, electronics, and general build processes including but not limited to soldering, wiring, PCB handling, and mechanical assembly.2 years of prior related experience with the safe and proper operation of basic electrical test equipment, electronics tools, and hand tools.2 years of prior related experience in networking to include LAN's, routers and switchesPreferred Additional Skills:Strong analytical and troubleshooting skillsAble to carry out as well as create complex technical instructionsUnderstanding of software contracts, upgrades paths, and license keyFlexibility and ability to handle multiple projectsAbility to communicate effectively with a wide-range, diverse user community and present ideas and solutions in a user-friendly language to team members and to non-technical staff and end-usersAbility to build positive relationships with both customers and program teamsAbility to operate independently, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with applicable regulations and normsTechnically focused post-secondary education degreeExperience in a VMware environment (ESXi and VCenter)Experience with bare metal systems/servers building and preparationExperience with administration in LAN, Primary OSs Windows 7, Windows 10 RHEL LinuxExperience with Help Desk software such as Dell KACEInstallation and maintenance experience with a variety of 3rd party software
