Sr. Accounting Manager

Our client, a well-established leader in the insurance industry, is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead one of its business-critical accounting teams amid continued company growth. This individual will oversee a team of approximately 6-8 professionals and take ownership of key accounting functions, including month-end close, US GAAP financial reporting, and revenue recognition (ASC 606). The role is currently fully remote but requires candidates who reside in the DFW area.

Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Active CPA certification required.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting or finance experience within the insurance sector.
• At least 3 years of experience managing and leading accounting teams.
• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and US GAAP, with the ability to proactively identify, assess, and communicate potential accounting issues.
• Extensive hands-on experience with account reconciliations.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to oversee, mentor, and develop accounting professionals through clear direction, performance management, coaching, and ongoing training.
• Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
