This role is pivotal in managing and overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the financial health of the organization.Responsibilities:Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting departmentReview and approve finance department journal entriesMonitor and analyze financial dataAssist the Controller in preparing financial reports and statementsReview and analyze corporate tax returnsReview and analyze sales tax transactionsOversee internal and external auditsPrepare and draft performance reports for the Parent CompanyManage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closingsEstablish and enforce accounting methods, policies, and principlesHandle ad-hoc projects assigned by the ControllerLead, mentor, and manage the accounting team, fostering a culture of professionalism and excellenceOversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activitiesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification highly desirable)Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 5 years in a management roleStrong understanding of accounting knowledge and US GAAPProficiency in Excel (V-lookup, Pivot Tables mandatory)Close attention to detailBilingual in English and Korean requiredStrong analytical skillsExperience with SAP Biz One preferredExperience working in a US branch of a listed company in Korea is strongly preferredAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentBenefits:Health, dental, vision, and pet insurance100% company-paid life, long- and short-term disability insurance401(k) with 100% company match (up to 3% of salary)PTO (15 days for the first year: 6 days paid vacation, 9 sick days; 20 days for the second year)Paid holidays
