Reference: Posted: Location: San Diego, CACompany: Planet Pharma GroupContact: ApplicationsEmail: PR Range:  /h DOEPosition Summary:The Senior Accounting Analyst II will provide hands-on accounting support for the ERP implementation, with primary emphasis on system integration testing, user acceptance testing, mock cutovers, data conversion tie-outs, migration validation, and cutover readiness.

The role will partner with Accounting and IDS to confirm that financial data, configurations, interfaces, scheduled jobs, master data, and accounting outputs are complete, accurate, and operationally ready.Responsibilities:·       Participate in accounting test scenarios across ERP system integration testing and user acceptance testing cycles.·       Perform end-to-end testing; document evidence; log defects; support retesting; and track issues through resolution.·       Validate accounting configuration and transaction processing, including non-leading ledger impacts and downstream financial reporting results.·       Assess BlackLine journal entry workflows and related master data so designated business owners can perform validation and sign-off.·       Perform data conversion tie-outs between legacy systems and the new ERP environment for mock conversions, dress rehearsals, and final cutover.·       Support mock closes and mini-closes to validate period-end processes, dependencies, timing, controls, and financial statement outputs.·       Execute accounting validation activities during cutover and help confirm readiness for production processing and post-go-live stabilization.·       Draft and update process narratives, accounting policies, desktop procedures, and control documentation to reflect future-state ERP and BlackLine processes.       All listed responsibilities are deemed essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional tasks and responsibilities.Requirements:Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent work experienceExperience with SAP (or equivalent ERP system) and Blackline is a plus.CPA certificate and relevant industry accounting experience is a plus, but not requiredAbility to effectively work within a team to expedite completion of critical projects with other functional groupsDemonstrates a commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals and tight deadlines; superior attention to detail is a must.Must have the ability to prioritize workload and perform multiple tasks under accelerated deadlines.Must be flexible in terms of adjusting schedule to various demands driven by our dynamic business environment.Self-directed and able to work well and communicate effectively in a team environment.Knowledge of US GAAPKnowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPointStrong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writingEducation:Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; MBA and/or CPA a plus
