Sr. Accountant/Assistant ControllerOur client, a leading food manufacturer is looking for a talented Sr. Accountant/Assistant Controller to take ownership of the monthly financial closing process for one or more operating subsidiaries.

This position reports to a controller.Responsibilities:Post journal entries.Maintain fixed asset reports.Perform reconciliations.Maintain and apply Company internal controls.Coordinate weekly financial reports and operating plan tracking summary.Follow-up with managers and staff on issues and cost savings.Provide support for any financial audits.Provide financial statements and expenses by the agreed closing dates.Key Skills/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or a current accounting certification (i.e., CPA, CMA).Seven years accounting experience.3 years' work experience with a manufacturing companyHighly organized individual.Reliable in meeting deadlines and able to prioritize tasks.Great communication skills.Advanced computer skills. ERP accounting systems (ie. SAP, Oracle), Excel pivot tables.Sound knowledge of GAAP principles and applications.
