We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support a busy finance team during a critical period that includes year-end reporting and audit preparation. This Long-term Contract opportunity is fully remote and offers the chance to contribute meaningful accounting expertise while providing coverage for staffing gaps.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, confidence working through complex reconciliations, and the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.Responsibilities:• Lead key accounting activities tied to year-end close and audit readiness, ensuring records are accurate, organized, and prepared for external review.• Reconcile deferred revenue balances and investigate discrepancies, including work related to changes in revenue tracking processes during the year.• Prepare and post journal entries, maintain general ledger accuracy, and support timely completion of monthly and period-end close tasks.• Perform account and bank reconciliations, resolve variances promptly, and document findings clearly for finance leadership and auditors.• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to provide detailed schedules, explanations, and supporting documentation requested throughout the audit cycle.• Help maintain continuity of accounting operations while the team manages employee onboarding and leave coverage.• Use Business Central and Power BI to review financial information, analyze trends, and support reporting needs.• Contribute fund accounting knowledge where applicable to improve reporting accuracy and strengthen financial oversight.
