If so, let's go over all the specifics together.The Senior Database Engineer is primarily responsible for the design, build out, performance, and management of the data systems and technologies that drive the firm's investment research process. As a member of the Database Operations Team, the Engineer will report to the manager of Database Operations and will work with the DBA team to provide technical expertise and guidance to the Investment Research Development staff.Candidates must have deep experience with relational database design and development on the SQL Server platform. A solid understanding of SQL Server internals and the ability to spot problematic areas, analyze solutions, propose resolutions, and direct their implementation is essential. In addition to MS SQL administration, the candidate will play a critical role in evaluating, piloting, and migrating to alternative data stores that may be more appropriate based on the latency, parallelization, and isolation demands of a variety of critical use cases.
