RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, and test MS SQL Server based database applications
- Design, develop, and test SQL stored procedures.
- Design, develop, and test data file export integrations with client systems
- Support data flows to data warehouses and data marts for use in business intelligence.
- Innovate within areas of responsibility to retain market position as leader in industry
- Work with team members to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely fashion.
- Respond to data and research requests originating from internal users in a timely fashion.
- Analyze problems and communicate with end users to assess needs and determine optimal solutions.
- Create new and extend existing operational documentation and process flow documentation.
- Performance tune systems and queries.
- Work closely with and serve as backup to other technical team members.
- Be available on call for emergencies and scheduled off-hours code deployments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- US citizen or US permanent resident
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field with at least 5 years post graduate development experience
- A solid understanding of and experience with
- Microsoft SQL Server 2019 - Current
- Microsoft SQL Server database design, ETL, data import, and export
- TSQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions
- Large datasets (hundreds of millions of records, TBs of data)
- Data modeling and database design
- Preferred experience
- Atlassian Tools: Jira, Confluence, BitBucket
- EDI and transportation data
- General ledger coding and financial systems
- Agile development methodologies
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently
- Strong problem solving, analytical and diagnostic skills
- Strong ability translating business requirements into technical specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated individual with ability to telecommute and work both independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and orientation toward meticulous work
REPORTING:
Telecommute under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment.
TRAVEL:
Travel between company locations as required (minimal).
