To ensure the reliability and performance of database environments, the full-time SQL Database Administrator II will administer and troubleshoot SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL platforms remotely while collaborating with various technology teams to optimize operations and enhance security. Key Responsibilities Own the health and reliability of SQL Server environments across Production, Staging, and Development, ensuring availability in accordance with SLAs, SLOs, RTOs, and RPOs Monitor and optimize database performance and capacity using diagnostic tools to proactively identify and resolve issues Strengthen database security and resilience by implementing robust backup, restore, and disaster-recovery strategies Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on SQL Server transactional database administration experience Strong expertise in SQL Server administration, including configuration, security, and operational support Experience with AWS database services, particularly RDS and related technologies Proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell for automation and operational workflows An associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
