Sprinkler Designer

We are seeking an experienced Sprinkler Designer with 3-9 years of experience, including specific expertise in data centers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and coordinating sprinkler systems using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. You will be expected to read and interpret blueprints, and prepare shop drawings and plans that comply with applicable codes and manufacturer requirements. Collaboration with local officials, engineers, architects, and customers will be a key part of your role. A NICET level 2 or 3 certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate sprinkler systems using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Read and interpret blueprints to prepare shop drawings and plans.
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes and manufacturer requirements.
• Collaborate with local officials, engineers, architects, and customers.
• Provide expertise in data center sprinkler design.

Essential Skills

• 3-9 years of experience in sprinkler design, including data center experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• NICET level 2 or 3 certification preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with electrical systems is a plus.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work environment after an initial acclimation period of 1-6 months, during which you will become familiar with company software and operations. Once acclimated, you will work remotely 2-3 days a week. You will work under the guidance of the Sprinkler Design Manager and Vice President. Job Type & Location

This is a contract position based out of Hanover, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $52.88/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
