Davis Staffing, Inc. has an immediate need for a Spray Dry Operator for a food processing company in Chicago, IL.
The Spray Dry Operator will be responsible for preparing formulas, mixing ingredients, and operating spray drying equipment to convert liquid materials into powder form. This position requires previous food manufacturing or mixing experience, strong attention to safety, and the ability to follow detailed production procedures. Job Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of experience in food manufacturing, compounding, mixing, or similar production operations
* Experience working with ingredients, powders, or raw materials preferred
* Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment or mechanical issues
* Comfortable working around chemicals and pressure-based equipment
* Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and safety
* Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
* Stable work history and employment longevity preferred
* Must be comfortable wearing required PPE, including a respirator when necessary
Job Responsibilities
Material Handling
* Transport raw materials to and from production and blending areas
* Verify ingredients and quantities required for each batch
* Accurately document materials used during production
Blending & Processing
* Add raw materials to blending equipment according to manufacturing instructions
* Assist with formula preparation, ingredient mixing, and spray drying operations
* Operate equipment used to process and discharge finished products
* Utilize screens, magnets, and metal detection equipment as required
* Collect product samples for quality testing
Packaging & Documentation
* Package and label finished products according to required weights and specifications
* Record production quantities and quality information
* Enter production information into Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP
* Complete daily production and quality reports
Sanitation & Safety
* Clean and sanitize blenders, sifters, equipment, and production areas
* Maintain a clean and organized workstation
* Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO requirements
* Properly dispose of waste materials according to company procedures

* Temp-to-Hire
* $23.00/hour
* 2:00 PM-10:30 PM
* Schedule may include weekends
* Overtime available as needed
