Role: Sponsored Research Grant Administrator

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Duration: Direct Hire

Salary: Up to $72,000

Are you experienced in grant or contract administration and interested in supporting meaningful research initiatives? We are looking for a Sponsored Research Grant Administrator to partner with faculty, staff, and leadership in managing federally, state, and privately funded grants.

In this role, you will help guide grants and contracts through the full administration process. You will review funding requirements, support proposal preparation, monitor performance periods, and help ensure projects remain compliant with sponsor guidelines. This is a highly collaborative position with exposure to senior leadership and teams across the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Support the administration of federal, state, and privately funded grants
• Review grants and contracts to understand funding sources, requirements, and periods of performance
• Help coordinate grant proposal development and submission
• Monitor grant activity to ensure compliance with sponsor and organizational requirements
• Negotiate federal contracts and subcontracts
• Partner with faculty, staff, leadership, and other internal stakeholders
• Maintain accurate documentation and support grant-related reporting

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field
• At least 2 years of grant administration, contract administration, or closely related experience
• Hands-on experience negotiating federal contracts and subcontracts
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to interpret grant and contract requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP, Kuali, Grants.gov, or similar state and federal grant systems
• Experience supporting sponsored research, higher education, healthcare research, or another research-focused environment
