Job DescriptionJob Responsibilities:Work from the directions of the supervisor to move Wind Tower sections, set up and operate the mig welders, Follow and complete daily build schedule.Weld, grind, and repair each Wind Tower section prior to presenting it to the Quality Inspectors. This person will also repair all weld defects as directed by the Quality InspectorsPerform most of the work individually. Essential tools and welding equipment will be provided, however, accountability and maintenance will be the employee's responsibilityWork timely and expeditiously to deliver an on-time product without manufacturing errorsPerform other duties as directed by leaders and managementActively participate in department safety, demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors which conform to all safety policies and procedures.
Follow all OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed PPE as required.Embrace culture of Lean Manufacturing and the implementation of changeAbility to identify and communicate maintenance or product problems to departmental supervisionMust be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional resultsPerform other work-related tasks as assigned.Comply with all Keystone Tower Systems Company and Safety policies and procedures.Qualifications / Skills:Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelinesAbility to learn basic computer skills to communicate via email, document daily work and progress, and track procurements and statusAlways attentive to detail and alert to ensure safetyAbility to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workersEducation, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:Graduation from high school, military schools, vocational school, recognized craftsman apprenticeship program or equivalentAt least five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in a combination of two or more skilled trades including knowledge of and ability to use tools materials and methodsCurrent welding certifications (Recently expired certifications may be acceptable contingent upon the ability to successfully requalify prior to employment.)OSHA 10-hour safety course would be a plus
