Tenet Healthcare and DMC Medical Group are seeking a fellowship-trained spinal neurosurgeon to join their well-established, multi-site neurosciences program at DMC Harper - Hutzel Hospital in Detroit, MI. This full-time employed position offers a unique opportunity to build a high-impact spine practice within a fully integrated system, supported by robust infrastructure and an academically oriented environment. The role involves a mix of spinal and general neurosurgery, with hospital privileges across all five DMC facilities, including Level I and II Trauma Centers.

  • Primary Practice Site: DMC Neurosurgery Clinic, downtown Detroit at Harper Hospital

Shift & Schedule

  • Full Time
  • 3-4 clinic days per week plus 1-2 OR/procedure/call days
  • Shared call among 5 physicians, with 8 NPs supporting inpatient rounds 24/7

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurological Surgery
  • Completion of an accredited spine-based fellowship required
  • Active Michigan medical license, or willingness to obtain
  • 3-5 years of post-training clinical experience
