Job description:
nPosition Summary
nProvide speech and language services to students across a cluster of charter school campuses in the High Desert region, including assessment, direct therapy, and consultation, in compliance with state special education regulations.
nKey Responsibilities
n- Conduct speech, language, articulation, fluency, and voice assessments to determine eligibility for special education services
n- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
n- Provide individual and group therapy sessions per IEP-mandated frequency and duration
n- Participate in IEP meetings; write assessment reports and present findings to families and staff
n- Consult with teachers and paraprofessionals on classroom communication strategies and accommodations
n- Support AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) device implementation and training as needed
n- Maintain compliance with assessment timelines and triennial review deadlines
n- Collaborate with school psychologists, ABA providers, and other related service staff serving shared students across sites
nRequired Qualifications
n- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
n- Valid California SLP license and/or Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
n- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential (or eligibility)
n- Experience conducting special education assessments and writing legally defensible reports
n- Strong working knowledge of IDEA and California special education code
n- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between campuses within the High Desert cluster
nPreferred Qualifications
n- Experience in charter school or multi-site environments
n- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
n- Familiarity with AAC systems and ABA/autism service coordination
