Summary
The Speech Pathologist evaluates and treats patients referred and provides instruction and assistance to patient's families as indicated.
Responsibilities
- Provides comprehensive differential diagnostic evaluations using standardized and norm-references measures.
- Provides management/treatment programs consistent with diagnosis and department protocols.
- Provides timely documentation for medical records/insurance requirements per division standards.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.
- Other duties as assigned.
Technical Expertise
- Experience in Speech Pathology is required.
- Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
- Experience in pediatric health care is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.
Education and Experience
- Education: Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology is required.
- Certification: State of Ohio Licensure in Speech/Language Pathology, Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA) is required.
- Years of relevant experience: 3 to 5 years is preferred.
- Years of experience supervising: None.
