Speech Pathologist

Join Encompass Health’s rehabilitation team as a Speech Pathologist, providing individualized speech and language therapy to patients in inpatient rehabilitation settings. You will develop and implement treatment plans, assess progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to help patients regain communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, assess, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Administer and modify therapy interventions based on patient progress.
• Document patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to support patient recovery.
• Celebrate patient milestones and provide ongoing encouragement.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• CPR certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Master’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree with field experience acceptable.
