Job Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate patients with communication and swallowing disorders, using appropriate assessment tools, and interpret results for physicians.
2. Provide individualized and group therapy to restore communication and swallowing functions, developing tailored treatment protocols.
3. Recommend and implement augmentative communication methods, collaborating with patients and families.
4. Educate patients and families about communication disorders.
5. Design home programs to reinforce therapy outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology
• Current MA Speech Pathology license
• Member of ASHA
• Certificate of clinical competence (typically attained in one year)
• Effective communication skills and team collaboration
