Speech Pathologist
Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification and accrediting requirement guidelines. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.
Day Shift//AUTO OFFER 40 hours per week/Backfill for EPIC must have experience in EPIC and Cerner. This position is for an EPIC conversion project. Candidates must have EPIC experience within the last 12 months and recent Cerner experience. Each work history entry must list the charting system used. No RTO is allowed. The listed start date is firm.
Education and Work Experience:
Master's Degree or foreign equivalent: Required
Two years' speech language pathology experience: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Preferred
Facility Specific License/Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification: Required
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP): Required
Essential Functions:
Reviews patient information before evaluations and during course of treatment.
Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments.
Assists in data collection of patient outcomes.
Instructs and directs support staff, as outlined in national and state Practice Acts.
Supervises assistants and support staff.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
