Job Summary
Full‑time, 40 hours per week.
Monday‑Friday, between the hours of 7 AM and 6 PM, with every other weekend and holiday rotation. Onsite: Akron, OH.
The Speech Pathologist evaluates and treats patients referred and provides instruction and assistance to patients' families as indicated.
Responsibilities
- Provides comprehensive differential diagnostic evaluations using standardized and norm‑referenced measures.
- Provides management/treatment programs consistent with diagnosis and department protocols.
- Provides timely documentation for medical records/insurance requirements per division standards.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.
- Other duties as assigned.
Technical Expertise
- Experience in Speech Pathology is required.
- Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
- Experience in pediatric health care is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.
Education and Experience
- Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology is required.
- State of Ohio Licensure in Speech/Language Pathology and Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA is required.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
