Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital - Gilbert seeks a compassionate Speech Pathologist to provide inpatient rehabilitation services to adults recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other complex conditions. In this mission-driven, patient-first environment, you will perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations; develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans; and deliver intensive therapies that help patients regain communication abilities, safe swallowing, and independence. Working within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team, you will participate in team conferences, educate patients and families, document care accurately, and support a culture of dignity, respect, safety, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Evaluate adult patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in an inpatient rehab setting.
* Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and goals.
* Deliver one-on-one and group therapies to support communication, cognition, and safe swallowing.
* Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately in the EMR.
* Collaborate with physicians, nursing, PT/OT, and other disciplines on coordinated care plans.
* Educate patients and families on communication and swallowing strategies and home programs.
* Participate in team conferences, care planning, and discharge planning.
* Monitor patient progress using standardized outcome measures and adjust plans as needed.
* Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Contribute to a patient-first, compassionate, and dignity-focused care environment.
