Summary

The Speech Pathologist evaluates and treats patients referred and provides instruction and assistance to patient's families as indicated.

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive differential diagnostic evaluations using standardized and norm-references measures
  • Provides management/treatment programs consistent with diagnosis and department protocols
  • Provides timely documentation for medical records/insurance requirements per division standards
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age
  • Other duties as assigned.

Technical Expertise

  • Experience in Speech Pathology is required
  • Experience working with all levels within an organization is required
  • Experience in pediatric health care is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required

Education and Experience

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology is required
  • Certification: State of Ohio Licensure in Speech/Language Pathology, Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is required.
  • Years of relevant experience: 3 to 5 years is preferred.
  • Years of experience supervising: None.
