nAbout the Role:
nNorth Shore Center for Speech, Language, and Swallowing Disorders is seeking skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologists to join our team. CFY's are welcome. Complete your CF in 9 months full-time. Experienced in-person supervision provided. North Shore Center for Speech is currently seeking full-time employees and contract Speech Pathologists for home-based Early Intervention in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
nEarly Intervention (EI), birth to 3-year-old program specialists assist in the screening, assessment, identification, and treatment of children presenting with developmental delays or disabilities; assist students in the development of cognitive, communication, oral feeding, social and emotional, adaptive, fine and gross motor skills within the home, preschool, and other community settings.
nResponsibilities:
nEvaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
nDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical goals
nMonitor and document patient progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to support patient outcomes
nMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and records
nProvide education and guidance to families regarding communication and/or oral feeding strategies
nParticipate in team meetings, case reviews, and continuing education opportunities
nRequirements:
nMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
nCurrent New York State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
nCertificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are welcome
nExperience with speech and language treatment for birth-3
nPediatric feeding experience or desire to learn
nStrong diagnostic, clinical reasoning, and treatment planning skills
nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues
nHighly organized, detail-oriented, and maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records
