Speech Language Pathologist
Job Summary: The Speech Pathologist will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech or language disorders, and formulate individualized treatment programs.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, hearing, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
- Under a physician’s direction, provide direct patient/resident treatment based on an established plan of care.
- Screen and evaluate residents and develop appropriate care plans.
- Plan, direct, or conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication and/or swallowing or cognitive problems.
- Administer, score, and interpret specialized hearing and speech tests.
- Instruct residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide ways to practice new skills.
- Complete required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
- Maintain patient records in an accurate and timely manner.
- Devise special tools and treatments for the specific needs of patients.

Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited Master’s or Doctorate in Speech Language Pathology.
- State license as a speech pathologist required.
- Proficiency with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
