Position Overview
We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Canton, Georgia .
The SLP will support patients throughout the hospital system, providing evaluation and treatment for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders across a variety of medical and surgical populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans and therapy programs
- Provide dysphagia assessments and therapy services
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies
- Treat patients with neurological, respiratory, and complex medical conditions
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP License
- CCC-SLP Certification required
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of SLP experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS)
- Experience with FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing)
- Candidates must live 50+ miles from the facility
