Assess patients across diverse age groups using both standardized measures and observational techniques.
Create individualized treatment plans tailored to immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
Deliver targeted one-on-one speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure cohesive care.
Provide education to patients and families to fortify progress beyond clinical settings.
Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care through the treatment continuum.
Keep precise and timely records that align with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completed a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Strong proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques for patients of all ages, with a deep understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
Ability to customize therapy approaches to accommodate a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Sound clinical judgment coupled with strong problem-solving skills.
Familiarity and comfort with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.
