Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through a blend of standardized assessments and observational methods.
Create tailored therapy plans that meet immediate and long-term needs related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
Deliver specialized one-on-one speech therapy interventions that focus on various aspects of communication including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
Engage in collaborative efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families in developing integrated care strategies.
Provide educational resources to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond clinical sessions.
Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring seamless care transitions throughout the treatment process.
Maintain precise and up-to-date documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
Continuously enhance your expertise through professional development and collaboration with peers.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Expertise in evidence-based practices for all age groups, with an in-depth understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal abilities to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
Ability to tailor therapy approaches to accommodate varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
