Imagine a career where each conversation is a victory and every interaction is a bridge to understanding. As you step into the role of a Speech Language Pathologist in the sunny and welcoming atmosphere of California, you won't just be treating communication and swallowing disorders — you'll be equipping people with the power to express themselves and promote human connections across all ages. Engage with enthusiastic toddlers, determined teenagers, and wise seniors as you witness their journeys toward clearer communication and restored confidence.

This position provides a diverse and rewarding experience, allowing you to cater to individuals from all walks of life. Your expertise will be utilized in a dynamic setting that combines outpatient therapy complemented by occasional inpatient tasks. Whether your passion lies in helping young children articulate their first words, assisting adults recovering from stroke-related communication challenges, or aiding elderly clients in cognitive and language rehabilitation, your role here will be invaluable.

Conduct comprehensive assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized tests and observation methods.

Create tailored therapy plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, swallowing, and cognitive objectives.

Implement individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on aspects like language development, fluency, and swallowing issues.

Work collaboratively with a team that includes occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to ensure well-rounded care.

Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress during sessions and at home.

Participate in inpatient assessments and speech therapy as needed, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity in care.

Document patient information accurately and promptly following all guidelines set forth by state, federal, and company policies.

Commit to professional growth through continuing education and active collaboration with peers.

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in the event of lacking ASHA certification.

State licensure for practicing as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) by ASHA.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required to be completed within the first month of employment.

Extensive knowledge of evidence-based treatment practices across various age groups, alongside an understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Exceptional communication skills enabling effective relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Flexibility to modify treatment methods to cater to a variety of cultural and linguistic needs.

Sound clinical reasoning abilities alongside strong problem-solving skills.

Competency in managing electronic medical records and maintaining documentation standards.

Attractive compensation based on your experience and expertise.

Work schedules designed with flexibility, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Specialization opportunities in areas such as pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, and geriatrics.

Paid time off (PTO) along with holiday compensation.

Options for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as life insurance coverage.

Financial assistance for continuing education and ongoing professional development.

A supportive team environment focused on high-quality patient care and continuous learning opportunities.

A Journey That Takes You Places — Both Professionally and Personally

In this role, you will not be merely a therapist; you will be a crucial component of a mission that champions the importance of communication, understanding, and shared moments of satisfaction through the act of expressing oneself.

Your colleagues support one another like a family, cultivating a collaborative environment instead of a competitive one. Each individual deserves to tell their own story, and your role will be instrumental in shaping it.
