Position Overview
Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for an acute care assignment in San Antonio, TX .
This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including medical, neurological, orthopedic, and stroke patients , in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive evaluations for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Treat patients across acute care settings, including bedside evaluations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient-centered care
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Assist with program development and departmental initiatives
Requirements
- Active Texas SLP License
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) REQUIRED
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Schedule: Thursday–Monday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- 40 hours guaranteed
- Patient population: adults (with some NICU exposure)
- Focus on stroke, neuro, ortho, and general medical cases
