Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing a mix of standardized assessments and informal observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that address both immediate goals and long-range needs in communication, cognition, and swallowing.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting communication skills, language proficiency, fluency, voice dynamics, and swallowing efficiency.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure an integrated care approach.
• Provide educational resources and ongoing support to patients and families to amplify progress beyond clinical settings.
• Occasionally assist in inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care for patients.
• Maintain meticulous, timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Commit to professional development by staying abreast of current trends and innovations in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), with an expectation for ASHA certification if not yet obtained.

Certifications Required

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within the first month of employment.
