Role Overview:

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct speech therapy rehabilitation to patients in a skilled nursing facility setting.

Responsibilities include:

Assessing and modifying therapy goals, implementing treatment plans, charting progress, and utilizing therapy software. The SLP collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care, helping diverse populations recover from surgeries, illnesses, or injuries.

Qualifications and Skills:

Must hold an accredited master's degree in speech therapy, be ASHA certified or eligible for certification, and possess an active state license. Preferred experience in post-acute care, proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent communication, and professional integrity are essential. CPR certification is required.

Key Duties:

Establish realistic therapy goals, oversee and evaluate care (for CCC certified SLPs), follow treatment plans, ensure proper documentation, and demonstrate dependable attendance. The role demands good judgment, teamwork, and adherence to confidentiality and compliance policies.
