Responsibilities
- Select appropriate treatment models and direct the therapy process, in accordance with federal, state, and professional regulations
- Address performance to support engagement in occupations that affect quality of life
- Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL)
- Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques and train in the use of adaptive equipment
- Assess client’s home environment and advise on alterations to support patient needs and capabilities
- Collect patient data, document observations, and report treatment progress
Duties
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patient abilities
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques
Job Requirements
- Graduate of ASHA accredited school
- Active Texas therapy license or eligible
- Certification of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP)
