Manhattan Day School is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and collaborative
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Special Education team for the coming school year . This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with language-based learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within a supportive, multidisciplinary educational environment.
As a member of our team, you will:
- Provide individual and small-group speech-language therapy to students enrolled in our Special Education programs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students' IEP goals.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, and families to support student success.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to educational planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and therapy records.
- Support students in developing communication, language, social interaction, and academic readiness skills.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- New York State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility for licensure).
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong Clinical Fellowship candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience working with school-aged children.
- Knowledge of language-based learning disabilities and familiarity with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
