Fairview Skilled Rehab & Nursing Home is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join our rehabilitation team. The Speech Therapist will evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders while helping them achieve the highest level of independence and quality of life.
Speech‑Language Pathologist SLP
- Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Perform bedside swallowing evaluations and recommend appropriate diet modifications when indicated.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, dietitians, rehabilitation professionals, residents, and families.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and team meetings.
- Educate residents and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current New York State Speech‑Language Pathology license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) preferred.
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
