Aspire Senior Living Malden is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at our skilled nursing facility in Malden, Missouri. About the Role:
- Assessing and treating residents with communication and swallow disorders
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to improve speech and language skills
- Collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for each resident
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of treatment sessions and resident progress
- Participating in staff development and training programs to stay current with best practices in the field
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of residents' communication and swallowing abilities
- Design and implement customized treatment plans to address specific speech and language needs
- Provide direct patient care, including individual and group therapy sessions
- Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Document all treatment sessions and resident progress accurately and thoroughly
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to share knowledge and expertise
- Stay current with industry developments and best practices in speech-language pathology
Ideal Candidate:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current certification in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Minimum of (placeholder years of experience) years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong clinical skills and experience working with adults with communication and swallowing disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
