Aspire Senior Living Malden is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at our skilled nursing facility in Malden, Missouri. As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with our organization, you will have the opportunity to enhance the lives of our residents through the delivery of high-quality speech-language pathology services. About the Role:

  • Assessing and treating residents with communication and swallow disorders
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to improve speech and language skills
  • Collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for each resident
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of treatment sessions and resident progress
  • Participating in staff development and training programs to stay current with best practices in the field

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of residents' communication and swallowing abilities
  • Design and implement customized treatment plans to address specific speech and language needs
  • Provide direct patient care, including individual and group therapy sessions
  • Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Document all treatment sessions and resident progress accurately and thoroughly
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to share knowledge and expertise
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in speech-language pathology

Ideal Candidate:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current certification in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Minimum of (placeholder years of experience) years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Strong clinical skills and experience working with adults with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
