Step into an impactful role supporting students across K-6, with some engagement with middle and high school learners, as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school environment. This contract position covers the full academic year and offers the chance to work closely with general education students focusing primarily on speech and language improvements - nonverbal caseloads are not included. Collaborate alongside dedicated educators and families to help students build essential communication skills that fuel their confidence and academic growth.
Qualifications And Desired Experience
- Current SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience working in school settings with general education and speech needs strongly preferred
- Familiarity with K-6 populations; comfortable extending services to some middle and high school students
- Adept at designing and implementing individualized therapy plans targeting articulation, language, fluency, and social communication needs
- Flexibility to adapt intervention approaches; open to limited virtual service delivery if absolutely necessary
- Excellent interpersonal, organization, and communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and diagnostics for student caseload
- Develop, implement, and monitor speech-language therapy interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and regulatory standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Serve as a resource and advocate for speech and language development within the school community
