Position Overview

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), is responsible for providing a full range of speech-language pathology services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Current, valid state SLP licensure.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA preferred or required.
  • Current valid CPR certification, preferred.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • 0–1 years of experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients to identify speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders through assessments, standardized tests, and patient interviews.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on findings, setting measurable goals to address specific needs.
  • Provide therapy to improve communication skills—including articulation, language comprehension, voice modulation, fluency, swallowing, and feeding abilities.
  • Educate patients and families about disorders, therapy techniques, and strategies to support progress.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Other duties as assigned.
