Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Inpatient Rehab

Location: Hilo, HI

Job Type: Travel Contract (26 Weeks)

Schedule: 5 Days/Week (May Include One Weekend Day)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join an inpatient rehabilitation team in Hilo, Hawaii. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in an acute rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations
  • Perform and interpret Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS)
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Educate patients and families on therapy goals and home programs
  • Document patient progress using EMR systems
  • Collaborate with physicians and rehabilitation teams

Requirements

  • Active Hawaii SLP License (required by start date)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • BLS Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of SLP experience
  • Acute Rehab, SNF, or Hospital experience preferred
  • Independent MBS experience required
