Responsibilities

- Implement engaging one-on-one speech therapy sessions targeting language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to ensure unified care approaches.
- Provide significant education and support to patients and their families to encourage progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless patient care throughout their recovery journey.
- Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with state, federal, and institutional mandates.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in the field through ongoing education and collaborative learning with colleagues.
Educational Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.
Certifications
- Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Indiana.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be achieved within 30 days of joining.
