Key Qualifications:
- Active Maryland SLP License (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs and therapy plans for diverse student populations
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to students, adapting strategies to individual needs
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and screenings for eligible students
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other service providers as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insightful recommendations and progress reports
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Stay current with best practices and new developments in the field of speech-language pathology
