Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Leonardtown, MD

Key Qualifications:

• Active Maryland SLP License (required)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Prior experience working in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs and therapy plans for diverse student populations
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language therapy to students, adapting strategies to individual needs
• Conduct evaluations, assessments, and screenings for eligible students
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other service providers as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing insightful recommendations and progress reports
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district guidelines
• Stay current with best practices and new developments in the field of speech-language pathology
