Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure as an SLP in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Enthusiasm for working with students from diverse backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals
- Deliver direct therapy services, both individual and group, as outlined in IEPs
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, administrators, and other support staff
- Document therapy progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide input and resources to help integrate language interventions within the classroom
- Stay up to date on best practices and compliance standards in school-based therapy
